Spawn SNES advert.
There was a time when the Spawn license was doled out like a hellborn whore. Toys, pogs, shirts, probably even collector’s plates. Network execs even met with Todd MacFarlane to discuss a Saturday morning cartoon featuring everyone’s favorite Hellspawn. MacFarlane got about twelve seconds into explaining that Spawn was a former soldier gunned down and turned into one of Satan’s own mercenaries only to haunt and patrol the bleak, rotten ghettos of his city before the execs decided parents may have a tough time swallowing a cartoon.
Al’s video game engagements were hit and miss but let us never forget Spawn: In the Demon’s Hand, the six-hundered and sixty-sixth reason to own a Sega Dreamcast.
