Why, hello out there!  I didn’t see you there.  Or, rather, you didn’t see me here because I haven’t committed to a Roundup for damned near weeks now.  First of all, sorry.  Second of all, kindly step off my dick.  Third of all, sorry for snapping at you.  Fourthly, if I had to be honest, you are kind of needy and I know you hate hearing that because more than one ex has tossed that word at you, but come on, seriously, you’re gonna chalk that up to coincidence?

Watch “Know Death” Hereabouts

His brother War wrongfully accused of igniting the apocalypse, Death sets out to bring ruin on all those that oppose him in order to…get everyone to believe him?  There’s definitely more diplomatic ways of defending truth and virtue, sure.  But we wouldn’t get to topple gargantuan enemies or even get to sink our scythe into anything if we went with “diplomatic.”

With Darksiders II dropping next week, this will be the final trailer promoting the title, this time narrated by Death himself (voiced by Michael Wincott – trust me, movie buffs, you’ve seen him before).  Vigil Games produced a uniquely engrossing mash of God of War versus Zelda in the original Darksiders.  A flattering comparison, yeah, but I hope Darksiders II finds its own footing, defying comparison in its best moments.  We’ll know when Death rides this Tuesday.

If you dug on Vigil’s hack n’ slashing adventure game as much me, you probably got a little nervous when THQ refused to comment on whether or not Darksiders II was still on track for June 26th.  The inevitable delay followed with an indeterminate August date in mind, which did nothing to ease slowly mounting concerns.

But here we are with a solid August...
