No Games For Smokers by German Ljutaev
Smoking is pretty nasty, dude. I learned my lesson with that pack-a-day candy cig habit I had as a kid. Ljutaev’s design concept incorporates a depleting life bar as a warning to smokers: too much of these and it’s Game Over.
I’ve smoked cigarettes since I was 15 and only recently kicked it back in October. Bullshit tactics like grossing out consumers with images of cancer-ridden lungs plastered to the front of packs wouldn’t have dissuaded me then.
A constant reminder of my own mortality, however, would have spoken volumes over anti-cigarette campaigns desperately trying to convince me that Big Tobacco was evil and that their primary business was murder.
If only you could incorporate that dire beeping sound when my life is low in Zelda when I reach the end of a butt and my lungs would definitely be a few shades lighter today.
