Yes, Slant Six is taking this once survival horror series into the thick of action-shooter territory. But if this proof of concept trailer is any indication of the game’s tone, I’m sold.
Resident Evil 5, as much as I love it (even to the point where I consider it a worthy part of RE lore – lack of scares and all), felt like a dated bid at fitting in with this online focused generation of gaming. Operation Raccoon City looks to be a smoother mesh of modern day mechanics and old school atmosphere, the very same formula fans have been waiting on indefinitely. Counting the days until I get to revisit my favorite little zombie infested town.
